Death Shunned by Technology: Ghosts Stuck in Cyberspace Demand Their Right to Haunt

Content:

Life after death? Think again! Spirits aggrieved by injustice claim they are deprived of their spectral rights to haunt due to omnipresent technology.

The world of the beyond is in turmoil. According to reliable (and clearly spooky) sources, an increasing number of ghosts feel deprived of their haunting rights by modern technology. They describe a frightening reality where people spend so much time on their smartphones and computers that they don’t even notice they are being haunted.

“It’s as if all our efforts to scare the living are in vain,” lamented Casper, the so-called “friendly ghost.” “They are so obsessed with their gadgets that even when we slam doors and create strange mist, they think it’s a plumbing or air conditioning issue.”

Indeed, it seems the scene of fright is undergoing a transformation. Once, a haunted house was a terrifying spectacle with creepy shadows and chilling laughter. Now, it resembles a college dorm during finals week – noisy, chaotic, and with an indefinable smell of cold pizza.

“I was once feared by all who heard me,” said the White Lady, known in haunted circles for her chilling laugh. “Now, people simply think they left a podcast stream running. It’s truly humiliating.”

The ghosts are seeking a resolution to their spectral problem, asking technology to make room for them. Suggestions include push notifications whenever a haunting occurs or spooky emojis for spectral branding. However, despite their desperate cry for attention, it seems the living world, busy swiping and scrolling, remains deaf to their tribulations. The fantasies of ghosts, it seems, remain invisible in a world too busy to be afraid.
