Love can sometimes explode… literally! In a twist worthy of a suspense film, a hapless man from Grimsville, named Richard Heartbreak, experienced a resounding rejection to his marriage proposal. And to add to the irony, his unfortunate proposition had explosive repercussions!
Last week, the unlucky 28-year-old suitor went to his girlfriend, Tilly Tearful, with an engagement ring like no other. Instead of a sparkling diamond, the ring housed a small grenade! According to Heartbreak, he thought nothing could better symbolise his explosive love for her. Naturally, disappointment was immense when he discovered that his revolutionary idea was not at all to his sweetheart’s liking.
The situation worsened when Ms. Tearful, in a panic, tossed the ring/grenade out the window. It exploded in the garden, leaving a crater the size of a small pool and catapulting the neighbour’s garden gnomes hundreds of meters away.
