Melting Clocks Restored By Sahara Ants

The unreal has once again pushed its limits, the insects of the great African desert are attacking time itself. Their gastronomic restorer is revealed today.

In an apocalyptic demonstration of plot twists, a colony of ants in the middle of the Sahara has begun to restore melting clocks. A spectacle both enigmatic and captivating that even the greatest surrealist painters such as Salvador Dali could not have painted better.

These ants, which seem to come straight out of a Dali painting, have strangely begun to dismantle the soft watches, piece by piece, before rebuilding them with microscopic precision. Scientists are struggling to understand how these insects have acquired such skill in restoring these vestiges of time that crumble like a camembert forgotten in the sun.

“They must have assimilated the concept of time, understanding that these objects represent more than a concrete dimension. We observed gold ants, platinum ants, they seemed to differentiate the materials and assemble them with the greatest precision,” explains Dr. Fickleberry, a renowned entomologist. “It’s as if each ant had a specific function, a predefined role in the restoration operation. It’s simply staggering.”

These watches, found in a state of decay among the sands of the Sahara, seem to come alive under the diligent action of the ants. Renowned watchmakers marvel at their impeccable restoration. “It’s absolutely unthinkable to think that such a thing could happen,” exclaims Horace Ticktock, a renowned watchmaker. “These Sahara ants have done phenomenal work. They’ve turned back time!”

As this strange news continues to fascinate the world, one question remains: where do all these melting clocks in the Sahara come from? For now, this question remains unanswered. Researchers, however, have their own theory. “We think that this discovery could be the result of a surrealist banquet organized by Dali himself, where guests were accustomed to throwing their watches in the sand,” admits Dr. Fickleberry. “It’s the only plausible scenario we could imagine.”
