Migrating Soft Clocks Invade the Vineyards of the Loire Valley

Subtle invasion of French vineyards by undulating pendulums, a strange reality unfolds before our incredulous eyes.

In the heart of the vineyards of the Loire Valley, a peculiar apparition disrupts the daily life of winemakers, forever altering the wine landscape. Indeed, at twilight, surprising structures appear to emerge from the ground, unfolding their voluptuous forms in a dance that defies gravity. These are none other than soft clocks, inanimate objects once immortalized by surrealist painter Salvador Dali, now standing like an army of sentinels on the verdant hills of French wine estates.

Winemakers, initially dumbfounded by this surreal spectacle, seem to have now accepted these intruders into their daily routine. “I was first rendered speechless seeing these undulating pendulums parading like peacocks on my vines,” shares Maurice Pinot, a local winemaker. “But gradually, they have become an integral part of our landscape. They do not hinder my passion in any way, that of producing wine.”

According to a self-proclaimed scientist and surrealism enthusiast, Anton Sürre, “soft clocks are drawn to the magnetic field of ripe grapes, causing this strange migration.” He added: “It is fascinating to see how Dali’s world intersects with reality. Next time, we might very well see elephants with long spindly legs wandering the African savannah.”

One question, however, remains unanswered: are these clocks carriers of an artistic revolution or signals of a time flux? Only time, it seems, will tell. For now, winemakers and spectators await dawn each day with amused anticipation, ready to savor the wine of absurdity, pressed under the watchful eye of the soft clocks.
