When home-cooked meals lead to a frightening yet hilarious experience… a grandma found more than she bargained for in her soup!
The scene unfolds in the charming senior residence “Le Beau Foyer,” where residents lead a tranquil life filled with wild bingo games and pottery classes for the more adventurous. But this Tuesday, the afternoon turned out to be more exciting than expected. One of our brave residents, Gertrude, indeed made a particularly crunchy discovery in her vegetable soup.
“She started screaming at the top of her lungs,” recounts the head nurse, Marguerite. “We all thought she had swallowed a peach pit or something like that. But no, it was much funnier… or terrifying, depending on your perspective. That is to say, she found a denture in her soup…”
Indeed, poor Gertrude found a denture in her lunchtime broth, causing a general uproar and much hilarity among the other residents. And the worst part? After an investigation, it turned out to be hers.
“It’s like one of those macabre pranks,” declares Gertrude, still in shock. “We all laughed, but I can tell you it’s not funny eating soup with dentures floating in it. I don’t know how they got there; I put them in this morning!”
The management of the residence has promised to conduct a thorough investigation to understand how this incident could have occurred. In the meantime, Gertrude has decided to boycott the soup and stick to sandwiches. “At least I know what’s in them,” she says with a mischievous smile, revealing a shiny new denture that she ordered express. The elderly certainly have a bite!
