This morning, a badger in a bathrobe took the helm of the residence after winning the Towel Council election.
His first measure: to institute a mandatory nap after every bath.
The victory of Bernard Badger surprised the residents of the apartment building, where only animals were allowed to vote. Arriving at the meeting with a platform bound by a rubber band, he promised “more bubbles, fewer arguments, and soap accessible to all.”
His opponent, a goat who campaigned for the installation of a clover dispenser, conceded defeat before calling for a recount. The electoral commission, made up of three hamsters, confirmed the result after a meticulous check of the ballot box — a tissue box.
Upon taking office, the new mayor rechristened the bath mat “Republic Square of Rubber Ducks.” He also plans to organize a grand ball in slippers, provided that no one leaves toothpaste lying around in the hallway.
