In the beginning: The unthinkable has happened, a carrot named Bernard has achieved the incredible feat of creating the first edible wireless phone.
It is in a vegetable garden located in the shade of an imaginary castle, somewhere between the real and the surreal, that Bernard the carrot decided to revolutionize the world of vegetables and telecommunications. What seemed like a wacky and even absurd idea turned out to be an unprecedented technological achievement.
“I’ve always thought there was an essential ingredient missing to make phone calls more flavorful,” confides Bernard in his carrot accent. “It was after observing a family of mushrooms communicating through mycorrhizae that the idea came to me. I thought, why not create a communication device that could be eaten after use?” And thus, the first edible wireless phone was born, carefully sculpted from a beetroot from the neighboring garden.
Other vegetables, initially skeptical, are now won over by this innovation. “I was a bit reluctant at first,” confesses Alfred the Eggplant, “But once you’ve eaten your first call, you can’t go back.” Alfred has recently converted into a regular customer, ordering a new edible phone every week.
The absurd quote of the day, as Bernard the Carrot would say: “Innovation is like photosynthesis, it just needs a good soil of ideas and a healthy dose of light.”
So yes, this story is improbable and even totally absurd. But isn’t that the essence of absurdity, after all, to bring a unique and quirky perspective on the world? In Bernard’s parallel universe, technology is green, edible, and environmentally friendly. An absurd idea, certainly, but not so silly when you think about it…
