Big Shakeup at the Zoo: A giraffe named mayor, a monkey becomes fire chief!

At the beginning: In a general stupor, the local zoo announced the election of its new mayor: a giraffe named Gertrude. Meanwhile, a capuchin monkey named Capu has clinched the position of fire chief.

The zoo, usually a place of calm and tranquility, was rocked by news of these unexpected elections. Gertrude, the beloved giraffe, who was previously in charge of greeting visitors, was elected with an overwhelming majority of votes. Her promises of higher branches for all and a better view of visitors have won over many zoo residents.

“Gertrude has always been a born leader,” declared night keeper, Fred. “She never leaves any task unfinished and has a clear vision of the zoo’s future. Her platform of high branches for all really is a commitment towards equality.”

Meanwhile, Capu, the capuchin monkey, was appointed fire chief. Despite his small size, Capu is known for his dexterity and speed, traits that will undoubtedly be useful in his new role. His colleagues are thrilled about this appointment, testifying to his dedication to serving others.

“Capu is not just an agile monkey, he has a heart of gold,” explains Molly, an ostrich resident of the zoo. “Once, he saved one of our parrots stuck high up in a tree. He was born to be a hero.”

This marks a new chapter in our zoo’s history, where the occupants themselves have decided to take control of their destiny. Whether they are feathered or furry, each inhabitant has a voice, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for this animal-led menagerie.
