DEATH ON THE SHELF: Local library causes massive disorder after strange book tremor

In the first lines: When fiction becomes a terrifying reality. A Stephen King book terrorizes a local library.

The quiet and peaceful Little Oakwood library will never be the same after an incredibly strange and frightening incident. A literary avalanche descended upon the regulars in the mid-afternoon, without any seismic movement being recorded at the nearest station. A nightmarish sight worthy of the master of horror, Stephen King.

The library manager, Bernard, was the first to alert emergency services after seeing a library shelf start to shake for no apparent reason. “The books started falling like dominoes, from top to bottom, from shelf to shelf,” he recounted, still in shock. “Then it became a real paper tsunami. I saw people running for their lives, it was terrifying.”

Local authorities intervened quickly, managing to evacuate all the library regulars without causing any injuries. However, the material damage is significant, with thousands of books across the floor, making the space almost impassable.

“I don’t know how this could have happened,” declared the mayor of Little Oakwood despairingly, “We’ve never had any seismic problems in this town. It seems there’s a demon in our library. It’s a real literary disaster.”

As a nod, one of the only books left intact on the shelves was “Christine”, the horror novel by Stephen King, which is about a possessed car. A coincidence that did not fail to bring a smile, despite the severity of the situation. Bernard, with his legendary humor, concluded: “It seems that Christine inspired our shelves. They came to life to our greatest misfortune. Next time, we’ll only take ebooks!”
