Conventional Unicorns Demand Voting Rights: A Dazzling Debate with Rainbow Stakes

At first, a hoofbeat is heard. Unicorns, demonstrating for the right to vote, peacefully overrun the city center.

Not seen since the great dragon gathering of 1392: a parade of unicorns demanding the right to vote. These fantastic creatures, usually so discreet, made their voices heard yesterday afternoon, betting on the power of wonder to get their message across.

“We simply want to have a say. After all, our horns are used for more than just looking pretty on a rainbow,” declared Prunelle, the spokesperson for the movement, with a touch of irony in her melodious voice. Indeed, according to Prunelle, unicorns have a precise vision of the future and wish to contribute to building a better, more colorful and magical world. And for that, nothing beats getting involved in the democratic process.

The reactions to this unicorn uprising have been diverse and varied. Some citizens, delighted by this burst of magic in their daily lives, immediately showed their support. Others expressed resistance to the idea, arguing that unicorns don’t pay taxes and therefore shouldn’t have the right to vote.

“When unicorns start paying taxes like everyone else, then they can have the right to vote,” declared a sullen-looking citizen who wished to remain anonymous to avoid any unicorn retaliation.

The debate is open and seems far from over. Unicorns are not about to give up. As Prunelle so eloquently put it: “We could be flying unicorns if we wanted to, but we choose to stay here and fight for our rights. Never underestimate the power of glitter.” Indeed, the coming days will be colorful. To be continued.
