At the beginning: The residents of Orlando, Florida, were incredulous yesterday as they witnessed an incredible revelation when their domesticated pet crocodile revealed the location of the lost Atlantis.
A city in turmoil. The residents of the quiet Orlando community were surprised when Snappy, a 15-year-old crocodile known in the neighborhood for his docility and spectacular pool tricks, discovered in his family pool the entrance to an underwater tunnel allegedly leading to the mythical city of Atlantis.
“Mercy, we all thought Snappy was just a big fan of diving,” said Martha Pinkleton, Snappy’s owner. “Then one day, he didn’t resurface. He stayed underwater for nearly three hours. We panicked, and my husband Ed dove in to retrieve him. And lo and behold, he came back up carrying a scepter adorned with precious stones and covered in ancient marine algae!”
The Pinkletons quickly informed local authorities of their strange discovery. The story quickly went viral on social media, attracting curious onlookers from around the world to flock to their property for a glimpse of what could be the greatest archaeological event of all time.
“We always knew that Snappy had a sense of adventure, but discovering a legendary sunken city in our pool was far beyond our wildest thoughts,” said Ed Pinkleton. “Snappy is now the most famous crocodile in Florida, and we couldn’t be prouder of him.”
Quoting the family computer, Snappy supposedly said: “I just followed my instinct. I always knew there was something more in this pool. And who would have thought it would be Atlantis?” A false quote, of course, since crocodiles do not talk. We are now awaiting the arrival of archaeologists to confirm this sensational find.
