An Orchard in Distress: Rescue Campaign for the Creusoise Apple

Subtitle: A small village in Creuse is in turmoil over the mysterious disappearance of apples from their communal orchard. A rescue campaign is underway.

A wave of panic is sweeping through the peaceful village of Sainte-Félicité-en-Creuse. Usually lulled by the quiet tranquility of the countryside, today it faces an unthinkable disaster: the apples from their communal orchard, known as “Reinettes de Sainte-Félicité,” have all disappeared.

“We conducted our investigation, and it seems that this is not the work of any thief,” reveals Bertrand Lenoir, the village mayor. “These apples have simply disappeared, as if the earth had swallowed them.”

For generations, the “Reinette de Sainte-Félicité” has been the pride of the modest hamlet. It is at the heart of many local recipes and family traditions. Therefore, it is with great astonishment and deep sadness that the inhabitants discovered the empty orchard.

“I hope we will find a solution to save our precious Reinettes, they are a part of our cultural and culinary heritage,” declares an emotional Gilbert Pommier, owner of the tavern “Chez Gilbert”, well-known for its famous apple pie.

To overcome this ordeal, a call for solidarity has been launched. All residents of Sainte-Félicité are invited to share their freshly picked apples to help replenish the communal orchard.

“In this delicate situation, the support of the community is our only hope,” declares Lenoir. “Together, we can save our Reinette and preserve our legacy for future generations.”

Whether it’s a mysterious natural phenomenon or a misunderstanding, one thing is certain: the residents of Sainte-Félicité are not ready to give up their precious Reinette without a fight.
