Innocent oversight or ominous disaster? An unlucky couple faced a horde of the undead at their wedding.
In the charming fictional town of Murdemeadow, nothing seemed able to spoil the wedding of John Doe and Jane Doe. All the guests were dressed to the nines, the cake was perfect, and the decorations, magnificent. That was until the surprise arrival of the undead. Indeed, the couple had forgotten to recite the famous phrase “Till death do us part” during their ceremony.
“They had opted for personalized vows, but they omitted this vital part,” recounts the ceremony officiant, Reverend Makebelieve. “I suppose the zombies took that as an open invitation.” A real hailstorm of skeletal hands, bulging eyes, and horrifying screams descended upon the reception.
The couple was forced to barricade themselves in the church with all their guests, facing a scene straight out of a horror movie. “It was like a downright dark and morbid version of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’,” recounts one guest, still in shock. “And believe me, these were not extras.”
After several hours of siege, the army intervened to rescue the bride and groom and their guests. “This was the first time we were called in for this kind of intervention,” declared General Fictitious. “But after all, every couple has the right to live their wedding day as they see fit.”
The couple, still in shock, stated: “It was an unforgettable day, to say the least. Next time, we will read the fine print before reciting our vows.” A lesson to remember for all future brides and grooms: never underestimate the power of words in such an important commitment.
