Corégie, Queen of the Fields, A Cow on a Quest for the Elysée!

Introduction: Defying all the mockery, the cow Corégie has only one mission: to graze her way to the presidency of the Republic!

In a political world as unpredictable as a calf yearning for freedom, Corégie, a Holstein cow, has taken the bull by the horns to propose a puzzling alternative: a cow for president. As a symbol of herbivores and rural dwellers, Corégie positions herself as an unconventional candidate in a presidential race that, up until now, had been devoid of any bovine deviation.

“I want to give a voice to those who don’t have one, be it cows, sheep, pigs or chickens,” declared Corégie during her inaugural speech, translated from mooing into French by her faithful interpreter, the agronomist Jean-Laurent Dupas. “It’s time that animals were represented at a political level. After all, we are all equal before the green grass of the meadow!”

However, questions are being asked about the viability of her campaign. How can a cow sign decrees? Who will make decisions when she is busy ruminating? And most importantly, will she manage the country as calmly as when she grazes peacefully in the fields of Normandy?

But Corégie, despite her apparent limitations, has already sparked a wave of support in rural areas. “This is the first time I see a candidate who really understands our issues,” declared Marcel Dubois, a dairy cow farmer. “She doesn’t promise the moon, she just ensures that the grass remains green for everyone. And that’s worth all the politicians’ speeches.”

With an election that promises to be more unpredictable than ever, who knows if Corégie won’t become the first cow to occupy the Elysée? After all, in a race where all candidates promise not to mince their words, a more ruminant approach could be refreshing.
