The Conquering Pancakes: They’ve Decided to Invade Our Breakfasts!

Strange events are occurring around the world. Pancakes are suddenly omnipresent and no one seems to know why.

At dawn, the traditional smell of black coffee and toasted bread seems to have been replaced by the sweet and sugary scent of pancakes. Families are waking up, astonished, to stacks of soft, golden, slightly savory pancakes, invading their kitchens, with no rational explanation.

According to the Michelin-starred chef behind the most famous French restaurant chain, Bernard Flambeau, “It’s a real culinary mystery. I left a slice of bread on the worktop before going to bed, and when I woke up, I found a perfectly cooked pancake in its place. Unbelievable, but true!” The worst part of all this is that this phenomenon seems to be occurring everywhere in the world.

Scientists are perplexed by this strange nocturnal transformation. Dr. Margaret Waffles, a researcher in transformative food at Syrupville University, states: “It is simply impossible to explain this phenomenon with current knowledge. We are at a complete impasse.”

In the meantime, children all over the world seem delighted with this change. “I love waking up in the morning and finding pancakes instead of my usual cereal,” says 8-year-old Timmy from New York, his eyes full of wonder.

However, despite the enthusiasm of the youngest, many questions remain unanswered. How and why is this phenomenon happening? It’s a mystery that, for now, neither scientists nor top chefs have managed to solve. In the meantime, all we can do is adapt to our new morning menu. And you, are you ready for the era of pancakes?
