In the beginning: By unanimous vote, trees around the world have decided to go on strike, interrupting photosynthesis. The world is in turmoil.
The unparalleled sensation of living in a world where trees are rebelling against the natural order of things is becoming a reality. The botanical sector has been shaken by this arbitrary but strong decision, taken by trees all over the world. Convinced of the need to make their voices heard, they have unanimously stopped practicing photosynthesis, leading to an unprecedented strike.
It appears that the bone of contention is the lack of recognition of the crucial role of trees in the balance of our planet. “We are the main suppliers of oxygen, without us, life on Earth would be impossible. We deserve more respect and consideration,” they declared in a rustic press release, written on birch bark. Scientists around the planet are perplexed and are desperately trying to understand how the trees were able to organize and communicate this decision on a global scale.
Let us remember that trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen through photosynthesis, thus contributing to the survival of many species on Earth. Their decision to strike casts a dark light on the future of our planet.
Sir Roderick Poupon, renowned botany expert and occasional musician, attempted to intervene in the crisis. “I played them Tchaikovsky’s concerto in D major in an attempt to calm their foliage, but to no avail. They are firm in their position,” he said with a note of disappointment in his voice.
Nothing predicts the outcome of this crisis, but one thing is certain, the tree that hides the forest has never been as visible as it is now.
